The scouts went up to the Solana Power Plant. It was lots of fun and adventureful. The food was great. They did golden spoon a contest to see who made the best dinner dish and the phoenixes patrol won! The scouts got to learn about how the power plant works and how it is very useful for energy. It’s constantly on except for 4 hours. It uses the sun to heat up oil in pipes that oil creates steam to turn a turbine. They use electric magnets to turn the force from the turbine into energy.
